We designed the original Japango Sushi restaurant back in 1999 (on a shoe-string); it won a couple of architecture awards and became one of Boulder’s favorites. Fast forward to 2014 – the owner asked us to come back and design and build a top-to-bottom remodel and expansion, creating a modern twist on traditional concepts. The all new space adds exciting, comfortable seating areas, a new Pearl Street facade, dynamic lighting, a cylindrical jellyfish tank, and beautiful creative finishes inspired by the Japanese sake box. Patrons love the new feel and the restaurant continues to be packed.
